Guide book: Examination

(This part is written by Dasha Zvereva)

Exams are very important in your university life. It's always very difficult and nervous to pass them. There are a lot of variants of revising to exams and every student has its own approach. And we want to demonstrate some tips with an example.

There are some tips that students use for passing exams.

Student 1: I make notes, it's the best way to remember everything. Also I record lectures and listen to them before my exams. And it's better to break study time into small parts. If there are a lot of themes, turn their headings into questions for your examination. And I always write with my pen, I mean, it's better than tapping the text on your computer. And avoid cramming, it's better to understand the material.

Before an exam I should feel comfortable, so I try to sleep well. Then it's very important to eat a healthy breakfast. It helps me to stay focused.

When your peers are answering, listen carefully and try to avoid their mistakes. Be careful with your time, it's important.

Student 2:

Make cheat sheets. It’ll be your choice to take them  on the exam or not. However, it’s a definitely good way for revising, summing up main information. It is necessary for you to write there down some key points.

As usual, everyone is worried before exams. Here are some tips for you to keep calm. Avoid people who are panicking, because apparently you’ll be anxious as well. Be dressed in your most comfortable and smart  clothes. Don’t take your mobile phone on the exam, as having it somewhere in your pocket  you’ll be worrying more rather than you without him. Believe in yourself. You’re smart. You’ve done everything you could do. Think positively. And don’t rely on others.

  1. Dasha,

what source of information have you used and how exactly did you you use it? I'm sorry it seems to be plagiarised

Also the word limit for this task was 300 words. Your post is much-much shorter than that and actually it seems unfinished.

    Things to consider:

every student has *its own approach: "its" is used with inanimate objects; "students" grammatically refers to animate objects

WW: every student has its own approach "student" grammatically is an animate objects; "IT" refers to inanimate objects

WW: check the difference b/w the words "theme" and "topic"

    1. Katya, thanks for the information but I have a question about its source. What is it? You should have indicated it. I hope you have an idea why, don't you?
