Useful resources about writing

I'd like to share with you one website which is related to English writing. I guess you are familiar with it.

This website contains a lot of information concerning Advanced Vocabulary, Advanced C1 writing and etc. This resource can help you write well-structured texts about different subjects. Moreover, I think most of us can write essays, but we are not familiar with other genres such as articles, proposals, reports, emails and etc.

This website outlines all the stages of writing, for example, an essay. There are many tips that can allow you to write an excellent text. Also there are some tasks that will help you learn the material better.
This resource will be useful for students and novice teachers, but I believe that some articles, for example, writing a business email, will be useful foe everyone.

I like the way the authors of the articles clearly formulate the idea, for instance:
-Organize the letter clearly into:
     The reason for writing;
     The nature of the problem;
     The outcome you'd like;
     An apology for the inconvenience.
No need to spend a lot of time on reading, evething is set out very clearly and briefly, and as for me this is the most important criterion.

There are a lot of languages in the world. And it’s impossible to learn all of them. Some people think that it would be convenient to have one international language. Others are strongly disagree. So here are some points which are for and against. If we would have one common language, firstly, it would be easy to understand each other. People would communicate with neighbors from another countries. So it would be easier to carry on negotiations in politics,  be successful in commerce and just make friends all around the world.  Secondly, culture and mentality depends on the language. Hello, everyone!  I read two articles on Guardian and then chose the one about the war, because I found the situation that was discussed in the article very important. So there is a short summary of the article I've read. The article " Britain’s direct complicity in the war in Yemen must end " by Rowan Williams is devoted to the discussion of the problems of war. He is sure that war is a thing that is related to past. It doesn't take place in the current world.  First, the author draws our attention to the fact that it includes two main problems: financial and moral. UK spend a lot of money on arms. He also emphasizes that now, especially before Christmas, war is the last thing people should take attention to. Further, the auhor suggests to decide this situation together. Finally, he noticed that we need to go to the root of the problem and act promptly and effectively.

. A reflective note

The second semester of our course was no less interesting than the first one. During this time we have written really important works that have helped me to develop my writing skills. It was very useful to repeat the theme of the thesis statement. I think my group mates now have a good understanding of how to write essays and other types of texts. I really liked the assignment where we had to write our stories. Now at the University we do not receive such tasks, so it was interesting to try ourselves as writers. If to say that was not very useful, as for me it was the discussion of our works in the group. I think the work should be more individual, and discussing takes a lot of time. At the beginning of the semester, I also enjoyed writing some texts for the guide book assignment. I am also happy that our lessons were not limited to the discussion of writing an essay, and we still discussed the problems of the modern world.
