A reflection note

As for me, this course was one of the most interesting during this semester. Firstly, I like the idea that we write our works in blog. It makes me feel that I'm a real blogger. And it was cool to read works of my peers, because now I know their point of views on different issues. 

 And I'd like to use more online newspapers, not just the Guardian.

 I liked most of the works that we wrote, but the most useful themes were plagiarism, shortener and   some tips on how write an essay. Now I can use it in my studies which is awesome.

 It would be wonderful if we will talk a lot and share our thoughts on different problems.

 I think that we need to discuss the problem of time management, I'm sure that everyone will found it useful. And also I believe that we should talk about possible ways to study abroad. N.Yu., it would be wonderful if you tell us about your experience studying in USA and UK.

    Thanks for your reflection. It was good to learn you found the activities & tasks useful. The topics you suggested are interesting & worth discussing. I'd be happy to share my experience with you & your peers. As for time management, it's too really very important & I'll plan a lesson to do it.

There are a lot of languages in the world. And it’s impossible to learn all of them. Some people think that it would be convenient to have one international language. Others are strongly disagree. So here are some points which are for and against. If we would have one common language, firstly, it would be easy to understand each other. People would communicate with neighbors from another countries. Hello, everyone!  I read two articles on Guardian and then chose the one about the war, because I found the situation that was discussed in the article very important. So there is a short summary of the article I've read. The article " Britain’s direct complicity in the war in Yemen must end " by Rowan Williams is devoted to the discussion of the problems of war. He is sure that war is a thing that is related to past. It doesn't take place in the current world.  First, the author draws our attention to the fact that it includes two main problems: financial and moral. UK spend a lot of money on arms. He also emphasizes that now, especially before Christmas, war is the last thing people should take attention to. Further, the auhor suggests to decide this situation together. Finally, he noticed that we need to go to the root of the problem and act promptly and effectively.

. A reflective note

The second semester of our course was no less interesting than the first one. During this time we have written really important works that have helped me to develop my writing skills. It was very useful to repeat the theme of the thesis statement. I think my group mates now have a good understanding of how to write essays and other types of texts. I really liked the assignment where we had to write our stories. Now at the University we do not receive such tasks, so it was interesting to try ourselves as writers. If to say that was not very useful, as for me it was the discussion of our works in the group. I think the work should be more individual, and discussing takes a lot of time. At the beginning of the semester, I also enjoyed writing some texts for the guide book assignment. I am also happy that our lessons were not limited to the discussion of writing an essay, and we still discussed the problems of the modern world.
