Essay:ne language spoken worldwide would lead to better international relations

There are a lot of languages in the world. And it’s impossible to learn all of them. Some people think that it would be convenient to have one international language. Others are strongly disagree. So here are some points which are for and against.

If we would have one common language, firstly, it would be easy to understand each other. People would communicate with neighbors from another countries. So it would be easier to carry on negotiations in politics,  be successful in commerce and just make friends all around the world. 

Secondly, culture and mentality depends on the language. Actually, not particularly on the language but on people’s relationship. So people would have a lot of in common and would understand mentality of each other, if there were one language.

Finally, it takes a lot of time to learn in language, actually, a while life. Humanity would have more time to learn more important  things for our existence, if we had one language.

Some people disagree with this point of view, they believe that it’s unimaginable to have the only one language. 

They think that a language firstly, is the essence of the the particular nationality. Each country has its own culture, mentality and some sacral things, that would be lost if humanity had one language.

And, as a person who learns foreign languages, I can say it’s just interesting to spend time learning phonetics, grammar and culture of languages.


There are many points of view on this theme, but it’s clear that in the nearest future it will be many languages and the one will be widely spoken, as English nowadays.

    the basic content and structure of your essay are quite accceptable; however, it can and should be further developed to make it more persuasive. To this end, try to add a couple of more specific examples to the body paragraph 2 & 3. Also, think about how to combine paras 4-6, because they are all very short but address the same topic. In addition, you can make your conclusion more memorable by using one of the techniques for conclusions you discussed last year and which I pointed to during this semester.

Hello, everyone!  I read two articles on Guardian and then chose the one about the war, because I found the situation that was discussed in the article very important. So there is a short summary of the article I've read. The article " Britain’s direct complicity in the war in Yemen must end " by Rowan Williams is devoted to the discussion of the problems of war. He is sure that war is a thing that is related to past. It doesn't take place in the current world.  First, the author draws our attention to the fact that it includes two main problems: financial and moral. UK spend a lot of money on arms. He also emphasizes that now, especially before Christmas, war is the last thing people should take attention to. Further, the auhor suggests to decide this situation together. Finally, he noticed that we need to go to the root of the problem and act promptly and effectively.

. A reflective note

The second semester of our course was no less interesting than the first one. During this time we have written really important works that have helped me to develop my writing skills. It was very useful to repeat the theme of the thesis statement. I think my group mates now have a good understanding of how to write essays and other types of texts. I really liked the assignment where we had to write our stories. Now at the University we do not receive such tasks, so it was interesting to try ourselves as writers. If to say that was not very useful, as for me it was the discussion of our works in the group. I think the work should be more individual, and discussing takes a lot of time. At the beginning of the semester, I also enjoyed writing some texts for the guide book assignment. I am also happy that our lessons were not limited to the discussion of writing an essay, and we still discussed the problems of the modern world.
