Reality TV shows a good entertainment 

 In the modern world television does not play an important role in the lives of many people, but many of us still spend a lot of time watching our favorite program. Sometimes I watch something on TV when I'm bored. Everyone perceives TV in different ways: someone watches TV from boredom, and someone is looking forward to a new entertainment program. People argue about the usefulness of the entertainment media, they believe that it shows just garbage that can not be comprehended. Although some people believe that TV should not carry something serious, so that's okay. Who's right?
Some people are sure that, in our time, television increasingly destroys moral and psychological foundations, destroys ideals and carries cynicism and dirt. Television today is spiritless, it does not develop personality, does not serve self-improvement, but, on the contrary, it contributes to the moral degradation of society.The role of television in society is huge, but, unfortunately, it does not realize what is needed - it does not develop and educate people. Sometimes it seems that television definitely takes more than it gives – killing time in front of the screen, we get absolutely nothing.
But other people will not agree with the above. They believe that television is an opportunity to relax and escape from problems. Some people do not need a large number of intellectual programs, because they perceive television only as entertainment. They like watch pointless discussions of pressing problems, although they understand that this is stupid. But this is only an opportunity to relax, nothing more, so you do not need to demand much from television.
In conclusion, I want to say that every person chooses whether to watch TV or not, what program to choose, how to treat it, etc. But it is absolutely not necessary to pay much attention to television, in real life you can find much more entertainment.

Hello, everyone!  I read two articles on Guardian and then chose the one about the war, because I found the situation that was discussed in the article very important. So there is a short summary of the article I've read. The article " Britain’s direct complicity in the war in Yemen must end " by Rowan Williams is devoted to the discussion of the problems of war. He is sure that war is a thing that is related to past. It doesn't take place in the current world.  First, the author draws our attention to the fact that it includes two main problems: financial and moral. UK spend a lot of money on arms. He also emphasizes that now, especially before Christmas, war is the last thing people should take attention to. Further, the auhor suggests to decide this situation together. Finally, he noticed that we need to go to the root of the problem and act promptly and effectively.

. A reflective note

The second semester of our course was no less interesting than the first one. During this time we have written really important works that have helped me to develop my writing skills. It was very useful to repeat the theme of the thesis statement. I think my group mates now have a good understanding of how to write essays and other types of texts. I really liked the assignment where we had to write our stories. Now at the University we do not receive such tasks, so it was interesting to try ourselves as writers. If to say that was not very useful, as for me it was the discussion of our works in the group. I think the work should be more individual, and discussing takes a lot of time. At the beginning of the semester, I also enjoyed writing some texts for the guide book assignment. I am also happy that our lessons were not limited to the discussion of writing an essay, and we still discussed the problems of the modern world.
