Summary
Hello everyone! I needed to find some article for the summary you're reading now, but all the articles seemed boring or not controversial enough to me. It took me a really long time to find one unusual article on the Guardian, so I want to share what I read. This article tells us about five women who have no children. Each calls her personal reason for this state of affairs. They're all in their 30s, some in their 50s. Usually we are used to seeing one thought concerning childfree: a woman wants to live for herself, does not want to spend time, effort and money on a child. Therefore, many people speak out against such women, calling them selfish, because they believe that the main task of women is to continue the race. But no one ever thought that the reasons for childfree are not always in selfishness. One of the women says that she just does not want to have children. She does not see herself as a mother, does not think that this will make her life happy. Another woman could not get pregnant after an abortion and miscarriage. The third did not get pregnant in youth, because there was no reliable man. Every woman has her own problem and her own story. This is the main message . I don't really agree with the message, because the problem is usually the same: the reluctance to have children, the reasons are not so important. If a woman does not have children because of her health, it is not her choice. I think that such women can not be called childfree. In general, this problem lies only in the attitude of people to such women. I am sure that other people should not care about the position of the person, if it does not affect them. Of course, we are not talking about the families of these women, although they also have to respect their choice. Childfree is not a bad thing, it is a person's choice, and I believe that a person is free to choose.
